Security first, but performance is a close second on our website hosting priority list. Both are priority number one with the services Rackwoo provides its clients. Our networks, servers, and systems boost the latest performance enhancements and security policies and practices.
Our hosting services push heavy and dynamic websites beyond the latest page speed specifications that modernized search engines require for websites to achieve peak SEO and proper SERP rankings.
SSD Managed Hosting is Rackwoo's tier-based hosting services that include high-speed, secure website hosting services that are managed and monitored by Rackwoo's Support team. At the base level, a Rackwoo SSD Managed Hosting package covers (at minimum) everything required to make sure your website has the proper hosting services which ensure your website is online and running at all times.
Our managed SSH website hosting plans cover everything needed behind the website to ensure it is live and online. Our managed SSD WordPress hosting plans go even further, ensuring security, and performance are a peak levels.
SSD and web hosting consists of two hosting services terms combined into one. When combined, SSD (solid-state drive) and web hosting result in faster read and writes on our servers, in turn, allow our client's websites load much faster than traditional HDD (hard disk drive).
SSD stands for "solid-state drive" and is a new, advanced technology Rackwoo uses to store and share data on our web servers. More or less, SSD is the new and advanced "hard drive" that allows our servers to push data out on to the internet (World Wide Web) faster than our competitors. SSD driver web servers cost more than traditional HDD servers, thus giving Rackwoo an advantage over the competition that is still using the old technology.
Managed SSD WordPress hosting is dedicated web hosting configured on servers that are fined tuned for security performance to run specifically the world's most commonly used CMS, WordPress. Everything is upon request, but the Rackwoo Support team deploy, secure, and monitor your WordPress website so our client does not have to.
Rackwoo's Managed SSD WordPress hosting plans allow our clients the option of only having to create and not worry. This allows our clients to focus more on website content, design because Rackwoo takes care of everything behind the WordPress scenes so our clients do not have to.
The answer to this question is different for every website. The main factors which determine, or rule out, which is the best website hosting plan or packages for a client would be website traffic and the platform the website was created upon. If a client's website is starting or does not see a large number of visitors per month, we recommend suggest that the client goes with the lower tier hosting packages.
The scalability of Rackwoo's hosting allows clients to scale up or down as their website visitors and traffic demand. If a client has a website that sees more traffic in the fall and winter, and less traffic in the spring and summer, the client can start with a lower-tiered package and scale up when the time is right, and website traffic justifies it.
The best way to find out which plan or package is right for you is to contact Rackwoo's Support team and ask them. They will provide you with an honest answer and then the best answer for your website's needs.
We determine our prices based on what it costs us to run and keep Rackwoo going against the given amount of hosting resources dedicated to each account under a given website hosting plan or package. Our overall costs per month are the prime determining factor of how and where we set our pricing.
Our goal is to reduce costs, thus transferring the saving on to our clients. If Rackwoo can reduce our costs, we then reduce our pricing, which will attract more clients to join us. Unlike most of our competitors, Rackwoo's pricing will lower as technology costs go down over time. The only time our prices increase is if we need to invest in a technology or service to improve the services we provide to our clients.
Once the funds have cleared for a client's purchase, it can take up to 24-48 hours before their account is fully activated. In most cases, it does not take this long, with the average time to account activation taking only minutes to a few hours.
Absolutely not! The final, grand total shown on an invoice that our client must review prior to authorizing the invoice and subsequent purchase is what our clients will be charged. If one of our clients happens to see something on their invoice that is not correct, they must contact the Rackwoo Support Team right away.
If for some reason there is a billing error or a required price increase due to reasons beyond Rackwoo's control, we will honor any and all prior agreements for the term of the contract our client and Rackwoo have. Typically, our client contracts are month to month, allowing our clients to change or terminate Rackwoo's services and products at the end of their thirty-day billing cycle. Our hosting plans do not lock our clients into paying higher website hosting prices or costs for no reason.
Yes, Rackwoo will transfer any new client's existing website to our system and services for free, at no additional costs, one time for each newly established (within 30 days from account creation and first cleared payment) account. Additional website transfers can be purchased at the cost of $50.00 per website. This does not include transferring servers and control panel accounts.
All of our SSD website hosting packages have the ability to host PHP based web scripts and websites. Upon request, and depending upon volume at the time, we will work with a client on additional web-based scripting needs such as Ruby, JSP, Perl, ASP, Python, and so on.
If you have a website or application that requires Ruby, JSP, Perl, ASP, Python, and so on, please contact our support team and let them know. Rackwoo will try our best to accommodate any and all web scripting languages.
Yes, all of Rackwoo's SSD website hosting packages and plans come with a free CA SSL certificate. Your website will be accepted and securely transfer data with all the major browsers. This CA SSL certificate is the same SSL certificate other companies charge upwards a $100 per year for. It's 100% free for Rackwoo SSD Website Hosting clients and customers.
Once a new client's SSD website hosting account becomes active, they can start hosting their website and content from our services. The client will gain access to their client area and control panel, and allowed to transfer their website files, content, and scripts, or install new ones, via our system and services. Rackwoo clients will also gain access to the Rackwoo SEO Center, Rackwoo support forums, and Rackwoo File Manager. Clients can upload their website files and content via FTP or through our File Manager interface.
If a client would like Rackwoo to transfer their website to Rackwoo's system and services, they must create a support ticket within their client area, provide Rackwoo Support Team with their previous web hosting company client credentials, and allow upwards of 48 to 72 hours for their website to fully transfer over to Rackwoo. Rackwoo's support team takes every measure to ensure the minimal amount of downtime for a website during our transfer process. Website downtime will occur!
Again, website downtime will occur during the transfer process, but typical downtime to be expected can range from no downtime, a few minutes of downtime, or up to an hour or two of downtime. Rackwoo is not responsible for lost or stolen data during the website transfer, and it is the clients' responsibility to ensure proper copies and backups are made of their website prior to Rackwoo transferring to our systems.
Yes, Rackwoo does include email hosting services with all of its SSD website hosting plans and packages. Rackwoo takes email delivery and reception, along with email security and authenticity very seriously.
Our email services and servers are configured properly, securely, and are up to date with all the current protocols and security measures. We implement backend scanners, front end scanners, spam systems, and monitoring the health of our email designated I.P. addresses continuously to ensure Rackwoo's email servers do not have any "blacklisted" I.P. addresses within them or anywhere throughout our systems and services.
Rackwoo's email services and services send and receive emails that are humanely meant to be sent and received, and reject emails that were not humanely meant to be sent and received, such as spam or emails sent from other sources attempting to send emails through Rackwoo's servers.
So yes, Rackwoo's email is very good!
Yes, Rackwoo does our own system-wide and service-wide hourly, daily, weekly backups, along with a complete monthly system-wide and service-wide snapshot. These backups are configured redundantly using both our control panel backup systems and with third-party vendor software such as JetBackups.
However, Rackwoo's backups are not directly available to our clients or accessible through their control panel. Rackwoo's internal backup configurations are performed for the purpose of disaster recovery and backup everything in batch. For Rackwoo to recovery part of or all of a client's website, or account, there would be a service charge/fee for the data recovery process. We would like to add though, to this date, Rackwoo's Support Team has not charged a single client for data recovery and will continue to do so as long as our Support Team is not spending all their time pulling data and restoring it for our clients. This takes away support from clients who need other services besides backup data restoration and does cost time and money to execute.
However, each client that has a managed SSD website hosting plan, equivalent or high, has access to a backup application system within their control panel. Once configured, this backup application will ensure you never lose or delete a website file, directory, image, or assets ever again.
A backup application system not configured will not work and will not backup any data. It is the client's responsibility to ensure their backup application system is properly configured at all times. If a Rackwoo client needs assistance with configuring their control panel backup application system, all they need to do is open a support ticket and one of the Rackwoo Support Team Members will gladly assist them in configuring their account to be properly backed up.

Security is only the thickness of silicone deep and only as good as what the "good guys" of the internet find out and come up with tomorrow.
Security honestly starts with the client, but certainly does not end there. When it comes to a client's public or private website files, data, directories, content, or media, an ounce of vigilance goes a very long way and certainly out weights a pound of cure. Setting and maintaining a strong and long, secure password(s) is everyone's first line of defense. There are just some things that still require a password and configuring the longest password possible while using a third-party password management application/software makes your password virtually impossible to crack or guess, by human or machine.
Another area the client can be vigilant when it comes to being hacked or lost or stolen identity is to be sure to log out of their control panel and client area when they are not using them, along with logging out of their PCs and devices when not using them. A would-be hacker does not have to be sitting at your workstation or PC to walk right into your account. They can swoop in remotely, and before you know it, your password no longer works and the website is offline. If a client's account is compromised such as this, it is imperative they contact Rackwoo Support ASAP!
Another line of defense on the client-side is owning, updating, and maintaining a good third party security software such as Kaspersky or Norton Security Systems. A program such as Kaspersky Total Security is very cheap and can save a PC user or webmaster a bunch of problems and worry.
A Tip from Rackwoo Support: Amazon.com does not only carry books, they also carry name brand internet security suite software at the fraction of the price of retail or from the security retailer's website. An example of this would be Kaspersky Total Security. A year subscription of Kaspersky Total Security accessed via digital download from Amazon's download center is over 50% off of what Kaspersky sells it for on their website. Another example is Norton 360 Deluxe on Amazon is over 60% off what Norton sells it for from their website. Kaspersky Total Security also comes with a very powerful and secure password manager application that has a desktop, android, and iPhone app versions.
Another "strong" line f defense for a client is once they have gained access to their control panel, immediately enable 2FA authentication. It best if the client chooses the option to obtain a code from a Google 2FA authenticator app option. The client must retain the 2FA secret code located above the QRC code. After retaining their 2FA secrete, and before logging out, the client should then test their smartphone authenticator app to ensure the code it's generating is working properly. Once they verify their 2FA authenticator app is working properly, the system will automatically log the client out forcing them to re-log into their account using 2FA. Once the client is signed back into their account and contr0l panel, they should go back to the 2FA area in their control panel and generate and retain backup scratch codes.
Any client who follows our above advice will live a happy and long hack-free life with us here at Rackwoo.com.
To remain secure here at Rackwoo, we do make it a point not to discuss in detail what security measures we have in place.
